What is EAZStor?
EAZStor is a network of computers that contribute portion of its storage device to from a scalable and secure storage ecosystem.
Data stored in EAZStor is strategically sharded and geographically dispersed to multiple
participating nodes to achieve data security, fault tolerance and superior performance.
What's in an EAZStor storage ecosystem?
An EAZStor is made up of 4 types of participating system(node): Super Node, Data Node, Edge Node and Relay Server.
What is a Super Node?
Super Node is responsible for management of the EAZStor network structure.
How many Super Nodes can EAZStor have?
One EAZStor network supports up to 1024 Super Node.
How can one become a Super Node?
Sign up to an EAZStor network and select to be a super node.
What is a Data Node?
Data Node is responsible for storing actual data of EAZStor storage ecosystem.
What type of system can be a Data Node?
Windows PC, Windows server, Linux systems.
How can one become a Data Node?
Sign up to an EAZStor network and select to be a data node.
How many Data Nodes can EAZStor have?
Unlimited.
What is a User Node?
User Node provides application interface to EAZStor cloud storage. The EAZStor v1.0 release only supports
Amazon S3 protocol.
What is Relay Server?
Relay Server assists connections among Super Node, Data Node and Edge Node which are located behind routers with private IP address. Relay Server has a dedicated public IP address, and all nodes can communicate directly with it.
What is EAZStor's fault tolerance metric?
The formula for calculating EAZStor's fault tolerance metric is:
Fault tolerance Metric = Global Verification Block/(Raw Data Block + Global Verification Block + Local Verification Block + 1)
When Raw Data Block is greater than or equal to 32, Local Verification Block = (Raw Data Block + 15)/16
