What is the idea?
Decentralization: Eliminate single point of failure. EAZStor eliminates reliance on a single server or a data center through a decentralized network structure. This design makes data storage and access more reliable and reduces the risk of data loss due to server failure or network attacks.
Anti-censorship: Enhanced anti-censorship. The decentralized nature of this solution makes data less likely to be censored, accessed or deleted by central storage provider. Data users can freely store and share information.
Content addressing: Content-based identification. EAZStor uses content addressing rather than location addressing. Each file or data block has a unique hash value (CID, Content Identifier) for identifying and retrieving data. This approach ensures the integrity and uniqueness of the data.
Data integrity: Through the hash value validation, users can verify whether the data has been tampered with during storage or transmission, ensuring the security of the data.
Efficient data transfer: Block storage. EAZStor divides large files into multiple small blocks for storage and transmission, which improves the efficiency and flexibility of data transmission. Users only need to request the required data blocks instead of the whole file.
Data caching: EAZStor storage nodes can cache frequently used data blocks to improve data access efficiency and availability.
Data redundancy: EAZStor allows users to replicate data blocks to multiple storage nodes to improve data availability and durability. Even if some nodes are offline, data can still be obtained from other nodes.
Dynamic data management: EAZStor supports dynamic update and version control of data, and users can easily manage and access different versions of stored data..
Frictionless integration: EAZStor provides an easy-to-use API compatible with existing storage service such as Amazon S3. It enables developers to easily integrate and implement EAZStor platform to store and retrieve data without changing existing application.
Compatibility: EAZStor is designed to be compatible with existing Internet storage protocols. Organizations and users can implement EAZStor without changing existing infrastructure. A third-party interface is reserved for customers to access their own systems, minimizing switching and operational cost.
Environmentally friendly: The environmental impact of traditional cloud storage provided by data centers is well known, and their growing energy consumption and carbon footprint pose significant challenges
for sustainable development. EAZStor leverages existing storage device infrastructure to build a decentralized cloud storage network, adding no additional environmental impact while providing storage solution.
Cost-effective: EAZStor is naturally more cost-effective and price-competitive by leveraging existing storage devices, compared to building and operating data centers.
